Who is FOC
FOC …. Fellowship of Christ is a group of people who have come together to live, learn and share the message of Jesus. We seek to live inside each other’s lives and strive to be a place where everyone knows your name.
We consider ourselves a fellowship because we are built on the truth that everyone is important and everyone has talent or skill that will help the fellowship grow. As fellowship we strive to live a godly life and share the message of Jesus.
Plumbline
As a fellowship we believe that the “Word of God” is our plumbline because it shows us how we should live in this world. We believe that the Word of God has stood the test of time and has remained consistent throughout.
Disciples vs Members
At FOC we look to be more than just members. The difference is that “members” are individuals that join an organization (YMCA, Country Club, or Sam’s) for their personal benefit.
At FOC we believe we have been brought together as Disciples of Jesus and as a family of believers.
As a fellowship our goal is to teach and train all who want to be disciples of Jesus because we want to see the church come to full maturity in the faith.
All are Messengers
As a fellowship we believe that all believers are messengers to the world.
Matthew 28:19-20 says “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
In order for believers to follow this command, as a fellowship, we will be offering training in the message of Jesus (gospel), evangelism and relationship building.
To touch the world
We believe that the whole world needs to hear the message of Jesus. As a fellowship we look for opportunities to share the message wherever we go. We believe that the mission field is in your backyard as well as in a foreign land.
